FAQ
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Do you ever cancel workshops?
Sometimes unexpected events (like snowstorms or sickness) pop up. We reserve the right to cancel workshops for unforeseen circumstances. If we need to cancel a workshop, we alert customers as soon as possible, fully refund tickets and reschedule the project to another date.
What time is the cutoff for making a reservation to come to a workshop?
We currently cut off reservations 4 hours prior to the scheduled workshop time.
If I come with a friend or a group, can we all sit together?
We always try to seat friends and parties together. Please let us know by calling 207-937-2298 or by email if you wish to sit with someone and we can set that up before you arrive. Our current configuration is 3 tables that accommodate 6 at each table.
When do the monthly calendars come out?
Workshops may be added all the time, but usually a calendar is posted around the 20th of each month.
What is a workshop like?
Our workshops are held in a casual group setting “release your inner dolphin”. Enjoy the process. An instructor will guide you step-by-step. No experience is necessary! We play some great music and have lots of fun! There is plenty of time to socialize. Workshops generally run 2 hours, sometimes you may complete your project sooner than the time given. You are welcome to leave when your project is complete.
Do I need to sign up in advance for a workshop?
For planning and inventory purposes we recommend signing up in advance. The easiest way to register is through our website calendar and pay online prior to the event. If a class is sold out, you can be added to a wait list.
What is the cost?
Workshop prices vary depending on the art project and currently range from $39 – $65 including all supplies. A small processing fee and ME state sales tax are added.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes! We offer gift certificates. Send an email to Lisa@coastalcraftworkshop.com or call us at 207-937-2298 to arrange.
Do you sell kits?
We currently offer Sea Glass Window Kits. These can be purchased during your workshop onsite. We will happily ship a kit for you as well.
What should I wear?
We recommend wearing something you wouldn’t mind getting paint on- just in case! We use acrylic paints that can stain clothing but washes off hands easily.
Can I bring in food and drinks?
Yes, you can bring in light snacks and soft beverages to nibble and sip while you craft. Please bring plates, utensils and napkins you may need with you.
Do you offer private workshops?
Yes! We will set a date and time for a group of 6 or more. Give us a call at 207-937-2298. Payment for group will be discussed at time of date and time confirmation.
Do you offer fundraising workshops
Yes! Send an email to Lisa@coastalcraftworkshop.com or call us at 207-934-2298 to arrange.
What time do I need to arrive for a workshop?
Doors open 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time. We try to start our classes promptly, so please be courteous by not arriving late.
Where should I park and how do I enter your workshop?
There is limited parking available onsite. Please use the stairs from the parking area to the front door. If the stairs are too steep for you, walk around and up to the front door (the incline is much less steep than the stairs). There is also a soft curb with ramp and one step up from the ramp into the building from the street if you need to drop someone at the door. Parking is not allowed on Saco Ave.
